Success of the Conference 'Still the Era of Noepluralism'? Celebrating Philip Oxhorn's Legacy
On November 3rd and 4th, ÉRIGAL, in collaboration with the Canada Research Chair in Participation and Citizenship-s, co-hosted a celebration of the scholarly contributions of Philip Oxhorn, founding director of ISID, a leading political scientist and Latin Americanist.
The conference intersected discussions on neopluralism with key themes of citizenship, democracy, development, and public space in Latin America. It provided an opportunity for a variety of colleagues, friends, former mentors and students of Philip Oxhorn, including prominent and emerging scholars, to share and present on these themes, based on their own research interests. We were also pleased to welcome many students from the four Montreal universities, including members of ÉRIGAL, to attend these exciting presentations.
We warmly thank the participants and the audience for their presence!
