Emmanuelle Grandbois is a student at the Université du Québec à Montréal, in the bidisciplinary Master's program in international law and politics. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a certificate in law from the Université de Montréal. Emmanuelle has been working for almost ten years on issues relating to gender-based violence, and more specifically on the phenomenon of feminicide in Mexico. She has had the opportunity to work with feminist organizations and to complete an internship in Haiti with an organization focused on community development, women's empowerment and access to education. She hopes to continue her studies at doctoral level to investigate the cultural and institutional mechanisms that perpetuate feminicide in Mexico.
