Jessica is a Latin American woman with a degree in Education and Social Sciences from Colombia's National Pedagogical University. She is a specialist in public policies for equality in Latin America and holds a post-graduate diploma in university teaching from the Latin American Council of Social Sciences. She has taught history, political science and philosophy. She has been a pedagogical and political advisor for the AWA indigenous community in Colombia. She has been a trade union leader, a social leader and has accompanied various social movements at international level. She was co-organizer of several international human rights verification tours and missions. She was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Committee for Human Rights in Latin America (CDHAL). Responsible for social justice at the Congrégation de Notre-Dame. She is vice-president of the UQAM Latin America CUAL committee. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in political science at UQAM.
